Vans Skate Sk8-Low Shoes Civilist in Navy. Designed by German artist Carsten Fock in partnership with both Vans and Civilist, these collaborative Vans Skate Sk8-Lows arrive as yet another creative addition to the brand’s expanding Skate Classics collection. Styled with resilient brushed suede uppers, these remastered Sk8-Low’s feature advanced improvements across the DURACAP reinforcements and innovative PopCush footbed, whilst the traction orientated Waffle outsole is paired with updates across the undercut and side-wall foxings for elevated all terrain comfort. Perforations across the toe box are accentuated by the contrasting white stitch trims across the eyelet overlays and arched detailing, whilst the tonal ‘Say Goodbye To The City’ drip-down detailing that is displayed across each quarter pays reference to the design’s ode to Berlin. The recessed 6 eyelet lacing system features ‘Civilist’ branded laces beneath the custom ‘Vans x Civilist’ embroidered tongue tab, whilst the custom ‘Back To The Roots’ insoles are a complement to the all-new checkerboard flag label Skate Classics trim and the updated ‘Off The Wall’ heel scab.
Inspired by German artist Carsten Fock’s admiration for PostWar design and Berlin’s countercultural undertone, this latest Vans x Civilist release arrives to complement Vans’ rapidly evolving Skate Classics collection. Following on from 2014’s Vans Syndicate Pro ‘S’ release and 2017’s ‘Coffee and Cigarettes’ Pack, Vans and Berlin-Mitte based Civilist pair performance with pioneering innovation to capture the free spirited energy associated with the German capital.
